They work to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems.

Citizens Advice is a network of 316 independent charities throughout the United Kingdom that give free, confidential information and advice to assist people with money, legal, consumer and other problems.
The twin aims of the Citizens Advice service are “to provide the advice people need for the problems they face” and secondly “to improve the policies and principles that affect people’s lives”.

Dementia UK is a charity that provides Admiral Nurses for families affected by dementia.

DemTalk is a free, web-based toolkit to help improve communication with people with dementia.
It was produced in a project facilitated by the Alzheimer’s Society UK, by teams of stakeholders including communication researchers, technology designers, health and social care experts, carers and people living with dementia.
Different versions of the toolkit are tailored for the needs of different audiences, including family members, carers and medical professionals.
